The Kentucky Hepatitis Academic Mentorship Program (KHAMP) is a statewide mentorship and training initiative designed to strengthen hepatitis C prevention, treatment, and care across the Commonwealth. KHAMP connects healthcare professionals, public health partners, and community-based organizations with clinical experts and practical resources to support evidence-based care, improve access to treatment, and advance hepatitis C elimination efforts in Kentucky.

Our Goals
Identify the epidemiology
of hepatitis and fatty liver disease and strengthen provider understanding of liver health impacts.
Define and apply evidence-based screening, testing, and treatment recommendations
to improve early diagnosis of hepatitis C and fatty liver disease.
Improve the health of individuals in underserved communities
throughout the Commonwealth by strengthening a primary care workforce trained to screen, diagnose, treat, and follow persons with hepatitis C and fatty liver disease.
Bridge gaps between prevention and long-term management
of hepatitis infections and fatty liver disease while increasing the number of individuals successfully treated.
To access KHAMP training resources and materials, an active membership with the Kentucky Rural Health Association is required.
